By accessing and using GeniusAcademia's tutoring services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services. These terms apply to all students, parents, guardians, and any other users of our services.
GeniusAcademia provides private tutoring services in various academic subjects, including but not limited to Mathematics, Sciences, Accounting, and Programming. Services are offered both in-person and online. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without prior notice. The content and quality of tutoring sessions are determined by our qualified tutors in accordance with curriculum requirements and student needs.
To access our services, you must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these terms.
Payment for tutoring services must be made in accordance with the agreed schedule and pricing structure. Fees are subject to change with 30 days' notice. Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other approved payment methods. Late payments may result in suspension of services. All fees are non-refundable except as explicitly stated in our Cancellation Policy. You are responsible for any bank charges or transaction fees associated with payments.
Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full. No-shows will be charged the full session fee. In the event that a tutor needs to cancel, we will make every effort to provide a suitable replacement or reschedule at no additional cost. For group sessions, individual cancellations do not entitle students to refunds, but makeup sessions may be arranged at our discretion.
All students and participants are expected to maintain respectful and appropriate behavior during tutoring sessions. This includes arriving on time, being prepared with necessary materials, and treating tutors and fellow students with respect. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of services without refund. Students are expected to engage actively in learning and complete assigned work between sessions.
All teaching materials, lesson plans, worksheets, and other educational content provided by GeniusAcademia remain our intellectual property. Students may use these materials for personal educational purposes only and may not reproduce, distribute, or sell any materials without written permission. Any content created by students during tutoring sessions remains the property of the student.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Personal information collected during registration and service provision will be used solely for the purposes of delivering our tutoring services, communication, and improvement of our services. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties except as required by law. Student progress reports and academic information are kept confidential and shared only with parents/guardians and the student.
GeniusAcademia provides tutoring services to supplement and support students' academic development. While we strive for excellence, we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes or exam results. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services rendered. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Students are responsible for their own academic success and for meeting all institutional requirements and deadlines.
For online tutoring sessions, students must have access to a reliable internet connection and appropriate technology. Technical difficulties on the student's end do not entitle them to refunds or free makeup sessions. We recommend testing technology before scheduled sessions. Sessions may be recorded for quality assurance purposes with prior notice. Students must not record sessions without explicit written permission from the tutor and GeniusAcademia.
We carefully match students with qualified tutors based on subject expertise, availability, and learning needs. While we strive to maintain consistency, we reserve the right to assign different tutors when necessary due to scheduling, availability, or other operational requirements. If you are dissatisfied with your assigned tutor, please contact us to discuss alternative arrangements.
GeniusAcademia is committed to promoting academic integrity. Our tutors provide guidance and support but will not complete assignments or take exams on behalf of students. Students are expected to use tutoring services ethically and in compliance with their educational institution's academic integrity policies. Any request for unethical assistance will be declined and may result in termination of services.
Either party may terminate services with written notice. Students who terminate must provide at least 7 days' notice. Payment for services rendered up to the termination date remains due. We reserve the right to terminate services immediately without refund for violations of these terms, non-payment, or inappropriate behavior. Upon termination, access to any online materials or platforms will be revoked.
Any disputes arising from these terms or the provision of services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to mediation before proceeding to arbitration or legal action. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the appropriate courts of South Africa.
GeniusAcademia reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via email and posted on our website. Continued use of services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically. Material changes will be notified with reasonable advance notice.
